The position
VARENZO is the House's current flagship piece. Not because it is the loudest expression, but because it carries the VERANI standard in its most direct form: proportion, restraint, smooth calf, visible construction and nothing unnecessary.
Where other pieces declare themselves through surface, VARENZO is judged by line.
The leather
VARENZO is made in Vitello Liscio — smooth Italian calf finished plainly. A plain surface has nowhere to hide. It reveals the cut, the tension of the strap, the line of the edge, and the exactness of the closing.
The House uses such leather only where it is prepared to be judged on construction.
The form
VARENZO does not reinterpret the Gulf sandal beyond recognition. It holds the inherited form and refines it under Italian discipline. This is the position of the House itself: not fusion, not costume, not seasonal design.

Why it leads the House
A flagship need not be the most decorative piece. It must be the piece through which the House can be understood.
