What it is
Vernice is the Italian term for patent leather — calfskin sealed under layers of lacquer to a mirror finish. VERANI works it in two constructions: quilted, where the lacquered surface is worked into a diamond relief, and woven, where the pattern is set into the patent itself.
The evening sandal
Vernice belongs to the evening and the occasion — the wedding, the Eid majlis, the formal reception. Its light-holding surface does at night what suede does in daylight.
How it ages
Patent asks the least care and forgives the least damage: it needs no feeding and no polish, only a soft cloth, but deep scratches are permanent. The House's lacquer work is layered for exactly this reason — depth of coating is depth of protection.
