The principle
A House is not defined by what it can produce. It is defined by what it refuses to release.
The VERANI standard was set under the name in 1896. Since then, every material, construction, finish and proportion has been measured against it. A piece that does not hold the standard does not enter the collection.
Materials
A material enters the House only after it has been proven. Novelty is not a reason. Expense is not a reason. Rarity is not a reason. The material must serve the form, hold its finish and age with dignity.
Construction
A construction is adopted only when the previous one has been exhausted. Nothing carries the name VERANI in its first version. The House develops quietly, tests privately, and releases only when there is nothing left to explain.
Restraint
Restraint is not absence. It is control. A VERANI piece may use Museum Calf, Box Calf, Vernice, Python Grain, Ostrich Quill Grain or smooth calf, but the surface never outruns the form.
